Bruce Beresford-Redman Custody Trial Set for November

Bruce Beresford-Redman is due in court this fall, but not for the murder of his wife. At least not yet.

The TV producer is seeking custody of his two children, five-year old Camila and three-year old Alec, but is being met with resistance from the sisters of his late wife, Monica.

Both haven’t been shy about accusing Beresford-Redman of killing their sibling during a Cancun vacation in April, and both plan on fighting Bruce for the kids in court.

Now, a Los Angeles judge has set a November 8 trial date to determine custody of Camila and Alec. Said Judge Mitchell Beckloff: “Things can go on for quite a long time and I want to get this matter settled – as does the family.”

Mark-Paul Gosselaar Playing Love Interest To Mary-Louise Parker

Mark-Paul Gosselaar

Mark-Paul Gosselaar is making a guest appearance on the sixth season of Weeds. On the show he’ll play a “rough around the edges” bar own and the new love interest for Nancy Botwin, the shows main character played by Mary-Louise Parker.

The announcement found at PopCrunch comes as Mark-Paul is going through a messy divorce after it was discovered he was cheating on his wife and after his TNT show Raising The Bar was cancelled. TNT is said to have picked up another Gosselar show Franklin and Bash which co-stars Robot Chicken’s very own Breckin Meyer.

The new season of Weeds begins on August 16th @ 10PM on Showtime. If nothing else you’ll probably get to see Mary-Louise Parker naked a bunch more times, so there’s always that…whoa weird, both of these actors have a hyphen on their names and it isn’t used to abbreviate a last name…weird.

Tiger Woods sinks Devon James’ claim, to reunite with kids and maybe Elin for a bit

Tiger Woods sinks Devon James claim, to reunite with kids and maybe Elin for a bit[HMG] – Having recently endured the unwelcome attentions of porn-star, Devon James, who falsely claimed he had fathered her son, Tiger Woods now has more problems to face – his wife, Elin Nordegren is back in town.

After visiting her brother in China the 30-year old former model has returned to her home in Orlando, and is now mulling a meeting with Tiger.

The couple’s daughter, Sam Alexis, has her 3rd birthday on Friday and Tiger – who is currently playing in the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, California –  does not want to miss out. So Elin is deciding whether to fly there with Sam and their son, Charlie Axel or just get one of her nannies to handle the trip.

“She hasn’t decided yet,” a source told Radar. “It’s not like she’s dying to see Tiger. But she doesn’t want to keep Sam away from him on her birthday, either.”

The estranged couple have lived separate lives since the news of Tiger’s affairs broke in November. He since entered rehab to treat this addiction, and Elin helped. But she also moved out of their home, and the connection between them is now icy-cold.

“They barely speak,” says the source “She used to drop the children off at his house and talk to him. Now she has the nanny take the kids.”

And her distance from Tiger is growing – Before the China trip she flew the children to see her parents in Sweden. She also attended a tennis tournament in South Florida, spent a weekend in Palm Beach on the couple’s yacht and flew to Arizona for almost a week.

And on each of these outings, Tiger was nowhere in sight. Both sides have since hired divorce lawyers, but no papers have yet been filed.

On the Devon James story, a DNA test performed in 2002 proves Tiger has no connection whatever to her 9-year old son, so her dreams of riches are now dust in the wind. A source says this latest claim is just part of “an ongoing child support battle.”

They’ve been together so long, it’s easy to forget they weren’t married, but after more than eight years, Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart have tied the knot.

Ford surprised Flockhart with a Valentine’s Day proposal in 2009. They were married Tuesday in New Mexico, where the actor is filming Cowboys and Aliens.

The wedding, which was held at the Governor’s Mansion in Santa Fe, was performed by the state’s governor and former presidential candidate Bill Richardson.

Richardson officiated under the legal supervision of New Mexico’s Chief Justice, Charles W. Daniels, who officially declared the celebrity couple legally wed.

Robert Downey Jr. launches ‘Team Downey’ with Warner Bros

Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey[HMG] – It’s said that every actor really wants to be a director, but Robert Downey Jr and his wife, Susan have skipped that completely and reinvented themselves as producers.

The couple, who’ve been married since August 27 of 2005, have just formed their own production house entitled, ‘Team Downey,’ and have gone into business with Warner Bros.

Based in Venice, California the new team will be joined by David Gambino as President of Production – which is quite an upgrade from his past job as 36-year old Susan’s assistant at Joel Silver’s production shingle, ‘Silver Pictures.’

First on their list of projects is ‘Yucatan.’ Described as ‘An epic adventure heist,’ the film was originally planned by Steve McQueen, but he died before it got made. Warners  tried to make the 1,700+ pages of notes and storyboards he left behind into a movie, but Robert and Susan plan to take a new look.

And if they can make it a film, 45-year old Bob will be the star. If he can find enough time.

Robert’s workload for the rest of the year is a bear – He’s just completed shooting the comedy ‘Due Date’ with Zach Galifianakis and Jamie Foxx [it opens November 5.] Next is the 3D/CGI space flick ‘Gravity.’ During that shoot he’ll leave to film ‘Sherlock Holmes 2,’ then return to Gravity to finish that job.

Most people would need medication to maintain a schedule like that – which in Bob ’s case is not a good plan.

But Deadline says ‘Team Downey’s plans go beyond just making movies that are star vehicles for Robert…so that should help reduce the demand.

By the way, if ‘Avatar’ got your inner-geek fired up, you need to see ‘Gravity’ – It’s being hyped as 60% CGI, with 40% being a mix of CGI and live-action.’ The makers call it ‘Avatar-in-Space – with more ambition.’

Anna Gray, Shannon Price Battle Over Gary Coleman

The saga surrounding the tragic death of Gary Coleman continues to become more bizarre by the day, with two former loves now locking horns over him.

Coleman’s former wife Shannon Price, who he divorced in 2008 but still lived with, has called the shots (and sold the Gary Coleman death photos) so far.

But a new will surfacing that allegedly names Anna Gray, the star’s close friend and former girlfriend, as executor and sole beneficiary, Price may be SOL.

Gray, of Portland, Ore., filed a 2005 will last Friday in a Utah court stating Coleman left Gray the bulk of his estate. Said her attorney, Randy Kester:

“Anna just wants to carry out Gary’s wishes. Her will is the most objective reflection of what Gary wanted. We’re going to be in this for the long haul.”

Gray was a business associate of the actor’s for about eight years before living with him briefly in Utah, and her will bumps Dion Mial out of the picture.

Mial, Coleman’s former business manager, had filed a now-outdated copy of the actor’s will naming him as the executor, but that’s a moot point now.

Price claims she was Gary’s common law wife and sole heir according to what she says is his handwritten 2007 will, written a week after they wed.

Kester says ask a judge to issue an immediate restraining order against Shannon Price, who is “invading Gary’s home and disposing of his property.”

“She has no right to his things.” The lawyer notes that he and Gray would not object to Price removing her own personal items, but this is different.

“But she has taken all his personal papers, evidence and other belongings. That is completely disrespectful and a further indication of her objectives.”

Price’s attorney, Mitchell Maughan, counters that “Nothing ever changed between Shannon and Gary,” and that “They lived as husband and wife.”

“For now, this is about who should care for Gary’s remains. Beyond that, there isn’t much to fight over in his estate, there wasn’t much financially.”

In both Price and Gray’s will, he requested to be cremated and that no funeral be held. Cremation is expected to take place in the next few days.

But a Utah judge ruled Monday that Anna Gray will be allowed 48 hours to view Coleman’s body before that. A third party will oversee his affairs.

A trial to determine if Price was indeed Coleman’s common law wife – and therefore possibly in charge of his remains – is expected to take months.

“Shannon’s doing well, but it’s obviously hard for her as his wife to have people from his past coming out of the woodwork,” Maughan says.

“Gary wanted to distance himself from all his past managers and the media, so this is upsetting to her, as it would be for anyone in her position.”

Joe Jackson blames wife for Michael’s death

Joe Jackson(HMG) – Joe Jackson has once again opened up his mouth, and this time he has outdone himself in a video interview.   Joe blasted his wife Katherine, who is raising Michael’s children, in the interview with British tabloid the News of the World over the weekend, claiming Katherine should have intervened, to have their son put in rehab for the prescription drug addiction that lead to his death, because he knew the star wouldn’t listen to him.  Joe claims he urged his wife to talk to Michael about his problems and she refused.  Speaking of their confrontation in the mortuary just hours after Michael passed away last June, Joe admitted: “Katherine was weeping uncontrollably and highly upset. But I didn’t give her a hug because I was mad at her crying.

“I said, ‘If you had listened to me Michael would be living now.’ I kept thinking about the times I had stood in front of her saying something was wrong.

“I couldn’t bottle up my feelings. Katherine didn’t say a word – I had to get away from her. If she’d done what I asked, Michael would be here today. I am incensed with her. She could have made a difference.”

But now Katherine’s lawyer has fired back, insisting she did everything she could to help Michael.  Her attorney Adam Streisand, tells TMZ, “The world knows that Mrs. Jackson has always been a loving mother and grandmother, and that she and Michael had a very special relationship. The world also knows who Joe Jackson is and he seems bent on never letting us forget.”

As TMZ points out Joe has been trying to exploit Michael’s name to make money, but his unauthorized attempts have pretty much been shut down by the estate, which may have lead to his frustration.  And now Katherine’s generosity in the money department are likely over for Joe.

Sister-in-Law to Bruce Beresford-Redman: How Could You?!?

Late last week, Bruce Beresford-Redman showed up in court to fight for his late wife’s estate.

But the most tense drama took place outside the courtroom, as the former television producer and accused murderer was confronted by Jeane Burgos, the sister of Monica Beresford-Redman.

Referring to the allegation that Bruce killed Monica on a Cancun vacation in April, Burgos screamed at him: “How could you do that to my sister?!?”

Added Monica’s other sister: “Divine justice is going to get you!”

Witnesses say Bruce hear these insults, but ignored them. He was in court to respond to questions about a will he and his wife signed in 2008. Judge Mitchell Beckloff did not make a decision about it, however, and has scheduled another hearing for June 29.
