The Originals Season 2 Episode 6 Recap: Who’s His Daddy?

That. Was. AWESOME!

On The Originals Season 2 Episode 6, viewers were taken way back in time; back to the days where Esther was a weak witch who could not conceive a child and who asked her sister Dalia for help.

Dalia agreed, but told Esther at the time that it may come with a price.

We were then taken to present day, where Esther continued to torture Elijah in an attempt to get him to see the error of his vampire ways and yearn to be placed in a mortal body.

But Elijah held strong and Esther ended up cutting open his neck and chanting some weird stuff while he blood spilled out.

Eventually, Esther allowed Klaus to take Elijah home, although he remains unconscious and it’s unclear what she did to him.

Plenty took place between Esther and Klaus before this act, however, with the former doing all she could to convince the latter that he belongs with the werewolves.

But Klaus wasn’t hearing it. He responded to all of Esther’s words with pure hatred, as her infidelity from 1,000 years ago was brought back up, along with the fact that he kept him from his real father.

Why was that? We learned that Mikael killed Klaus’ dad… while Hayley also met a werewolf named Ansel who had recently started hanging out with Jackson in the bayou. Why was this important?

Because Klaus eventually heard some fighting and happened upon Ansel fending off some werewolves after agreeing to help Hayley rescue Jackson.

When the two locked eyes, Klaus knew instantly: DAD?!?!?!?! Yes, Angel assured him.

Later on, Esther said she brought Ansel back from The Other Side in order to help convince Klaus, to get him to want to be a werewolf and to reconnect with his real father in the process.

Still, Klaus responded with venom. He knocked Esther down and took Elijah home and this is where the major twist took place:

When Vincent/Finn came to check on his mother, we flashed back again. This time, Esther had some kids, including her older, a girl we had never before known existed. Dalia came and took her from her sister, saying that was the deal: Dalia was entitled to EVERY first born in Esther’s bloodline.

Hence, Esther and Finn talked about how they needed to kill Hope, lest Dalia re-appear.

Viewers, of course, know that Hope remains alive. So the countdown is on: When will we meet Dalia?!?

Elsewhere:

  • Cami now knows Vincent’s true identity. She’s all about helping to bring him down.
  • The witches cursed Oliver to die at midnight. He passed away in Jackson’s arms.

What a great episode. What a terrible twist at the end!

Lynda Bellingham Dies; English Actress Was 66

Lynda Bellingham, a beloved English actress best known for roles in Loose Women and All Creatures Great And Small, has died at the age of 66.

She was first diagnosed with colon cancer in July 2013, after which the disease spread to her lungs and liver. She eventually succumbed to the disease.

In August 2014, Lynda decided to cease treatment for her cancer in order to “limit the suffering her family would have to endure,” according to reports.

Lynda Bellingham

In a statement, Lynda’s agent Sue Latimer confirmed her passing, saying, “Lynda died peacefully in her husband’s arms yesterday at a London hospital.

“Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff for their tremendous care and support. Actor, writer and presenter … to the end Lynda was a consummate professional.”

In 1948, Lynda was given up for adoption when she was just four months old after her mother’s strict, religious family disapproved of her being born out of wedlock.

Adopted from Canada by Donald and Ruth Bellingham from Buckinghamshire, UK, Lynda made her acting debut in the 1970s in the UK soap General Hospital.

Along with Loose Women, another prominent role of Lynda’s included her part as The Inquisitor in the 1986 Doctor Who serial The Trial Of A Time Lord.

She also made a notable reality show appearance, starring in Strictly Come Dancing (the original Dancing With The Stars) in its seventh season.

Lynda is survived by her husband, Michael Pattermore, and two children.

Alfonso Ribeiro Does “The Carlton” On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Feel Good Video Of The Day

alfonso ribeiro does the carlton on dancing with the stars 2Okay, I’m posting this because it’s ALL OVER the internet. If you don’t watch ‘Dancing with the Stars’ (and I’ll out myself that I haven’t had a chance to catch it this season), then you didn’t see how Alfonso Ribeiro Brought Down The House when he did “The Carlton” from his ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ days. RELATED: SoulPancake’s Kid President launches Socktober!

I’ve seen brief, 30-60 sec clips, but this video Alfonso’s entire appearance on ‘DWTS.’ He talks about how he loved portraying the character of Carlton but also how it held him back professionally after ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ ended because he was pigeon-holed. He talks about how his attitude toward the character gradually changed, and then you see him and his partner, Witney Carson, bust out ‘The Carlton’! I promise this will give you a little pick-me-up to help you get through “Hump Day” (i.e., Wednesday).

Dance Moms Season 5: Confirmed! Headed For Hollywood!

Dance Moms is set to return to Lifetime’s airwaves for Season 5, and it will reportedly take place not in its star’s native Pennsylvania, but under the lights of Hollywood.

Dance Moms Promo Pic

Following last night’s Dance Moms Season 4 Episode 31, titled “Hollywood Here We Come, Part 1,” rumors and speculation began to arise as to the show’s future.

Season 5 will apparently begin at the Sheer Talent special edition competition in Niagara Falls, N.Y., October 11, and it won’t be based out of Pittsburgh.

There are several signs the team is headed for Hollywood, not the least of which being the season finale title (part two has no confirmed air date yet).

Also, while attending her student Maddie Zieger’s Dancing With the Stars performance in L.A., Abby Lee Miller dropped a big hint on her Instagram.

“Dance Moms’ creator Bryan and producer Scott were there at the live show to cheer @madisonsizegler1313 on!” Abby Lee said on the set.

“Hope they realize I need a costume seamstress w/skills for #season5 #aldc.”

ALDC is the Abby Lee Dance Company, whose elite performer Kendall Vertes also hinted at big changes to come, staying “there’s going to be some drama.

“I mean, it might be the end. Lots of drama!” Nia Frazier, her co-star, added.

With Dance Moms Season 5 set to begin filming next month, the producers aren’t spilling any spoilers, but it looks like the show is getting reinvented.

There’s already one spinoff on the air – Dance Moms: Abby’s Studio Rescue – and a move to L.A. would make sense for a growing Lifetime brand.

We’ll have more on that as information becomes available, but you can watch Dance Moms online to see last night’s show and earlier episodes in full!

And relive Abby’s most classic moment to date below. Never gets old.

The Voice Season 7 Episode 2 Recap: Who Turned the Most Chairs?

On The Voice Season 7 Episode 2, more aspiring singers battled for spots on one of the celebrity coaches’ rosters, showcasing their unique vocal stylings.

As we saw on The Voice Season 7 Episode 1 the night before, no one who tries out for this show is bad in the least, but it’s still tough to make it through.

While Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have multiple titles and have the experience, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani totally know what they’re doing.

Here’s a look at who earned a spot on one of the fab four’s respective rosters …

Mayia Sykes got everyone to turn around with “Stay with Me” within moments, giving her the choice of whichever coach she wanted. Pharrell Williams got the nod!

Joining Mayia on Team Pharrell will be DaNica Shirey, the mother of an adorable 4-year-old who shared her emotional story about losing her father to cancer.

She stunned the judges with a performance of “Big White Room,” but went with Pharrell over Gwen and Adam. Taylor Phelan, and his take on “Sweater Weather,” will join them!

Joe Kirk got Adam and Gwen to turn almost immediately for his cover of “Lego House,” followed by Blake and Pharrell! However, Adam won him over and won his services.

Menlik Zergabachew covered “Santeria,” showing off his powerful voice and getting Blake to turn around along with Gwen, who had this one locked up from the start.

She’ll also be bringing on Sugar Jonas, who decided to take on a classic hit, “Chain of Fools.” Again, Blake could not wrest this one away from Stefani.

Reagan James, a 15-year-old, was inspired to become a musician after meeting Kelly Clarkson and earned a spot on Team Blake with “Give Me Love.”

Taylor Brashears loves her food truck job, but is more in love with music and her take on “You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man)” got her on Blake’s team as well.

Julianne Hough How Is She Going To Judge Brother Derek On ‘Dancing With The Stars’?

Julianne Hough Gives An "Extra" InterviewSounds like Karina Smirnoff isn’t the only ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro who’s worried about Julianne Hough’s ability to judge fairly with her brother, Derek Hough, being one of the dancing pros on the show. Cheryl Burke jokingly warned Julianne not to play favorites in an interview, adding “I know where you live!” So how’s Julianne going to handle the situation? RELATED: Karina Smirnoff questions the ethics of Julianne Hough being a judge on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’

She told E! News:

I think I view Derek more as a friend than even a brother…We were more like teammates than like bickering brother and sister. I’m honestly just as close to Mark [Ballas], and Cheryl [Burke] and Karina Smirnoff…For me going on the show and judging my brother is just like judging anybody else—plus, I judge him every day.”

Yet where is Julianne staying while her house is being renovated? Brother Derek, of course! I’m not sure I believe she’s equally close to several of the dancing pros as she is her brother, but hopefully Julianne can remain impartial as a judge. ABC probably should’ve considered this when making their selection!

Well, Julianne is one of four judges, and the audience still gets a vote, too, so it’s not like she’s all-powerful. It’ll be interesting to watch on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ though, to see how all of this goes.

Sons of Anarchy Premiere Shatters Series Ratings Record

Sons of Anarchy is off and running killing… and setting series ratings record.

According to an FX press release, the Sons of Anarchy Season 7 premiere drew 6.2 million total viewers, along with a 3.2 rating among adults 18-49, both high water marks for the Kurt Sutter-produced drama.

Jax on SOA

The extra long episode mostly centered on Jax’s thirst for vengeance, as he’s now out of prison and focused on taking down those responsible for his wife’s murder on the Season 6 finale.

He believes that to be the Chinese, but viewers all know better, of course. Gemma is to blame.

Elsewhere, Wendy is back in the picture; Unser could be in major trouble; and all members of SAMCRO say they are “all in” for whatever scheme Jax has in mind.

Did you catch the opener? If not, you can go watch Sons of Anarchy online right now!

Did you see the latest Tango? How about that Rumba?!? Even through 18 seasons, Dancing with the Stars remains a must-Tweet event.
