Suzy Favor Hamilton, Former Olympian, Apologizes for Life as an Escort

Suzy Favor Hamilton, a former U.S. Olympian in track and field, issued a formal apology today after her life as an escort in Las Vegas was exposed.

In a story on The Smoking Gun, the 44-year old admitted she has worked under the alias “Kelly Lundy,” for the past year, selling herself for $600 an hour.

Favor Hamilton lives with her husband, Mark, and seven-year daughter and told the website that the former “tried to stop” her and “wasn’t supportive” of the escort lifestyle at all.

Chamique Holdsclaw 911 Tape: Did WNBA Star Try to Blow Up Jennifer Lacy?

Chamique Holdsclaw, the ex-WNBA and University of Tennessee basketball star, is currently free on bail, following her arrest this week for allegedly firing a gun at ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lacy.

But new, disturbing information has leaked out regarding the incident, courtesy of a 911 call placed by a friend of Lacy’s, who was in the vehicle when the Holdsclaw confrontation took place.

This friend describes Holdsclaw as “mentally unstable.”

She goes on to tell the operator that the former Rookie of the Year poured gasoline all over Lacy’s Range Rover, presumably to set it on fire.

Mark Basseley Youseff, Innocence of Muslims Creator, Arrested For Probation Violation

Mark Basseley Youseff, a.k.a. Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, a.k.a. Sam Bacile, is currently behind bars. His arrest has nothing to do with the his controversial film Innocence of Muslims.

U.S. Central District Chief Magistrate Judge Suzanne Segal said that the filmmaker should be held for a probation violation, stemming from a 2010 conviction for check fraud.

“The court has a lack of trust in this defendant at this time,” Segal said.

Joe Paterno Statue: Removed from Penn State Campus

Following a scathing report by an unbiased investigator, which implicated Joe Paterno directly in a cover-up that allowed Jerry Sandusky to roam free years after he sexually molested a series of young boys, Penn State officially have taken down the statue of the legendary coach from its campus.

University President Rod Erickson said he reached the decision because the statue “has become a source of division and an obstacle to healing” and would be “a recurring wound” to victims of abuse had it remained.

James Holmes Identified as Colorado Shooting Suspect

James Holmes has been identified as the suspect who opened fire inside a Colorado movie theater early this morning, injuring over 50 attendees and killing at least 12 people on hand to watch a screening of The Dark Knight Rises.

The 24-year old is in police custody.

Following a melee at a local strip joint, Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young was issued a Class C assault citation in Dallas, Texas, early Sunday morning.
