Desiree Hartsock Wedding Dress: First Look!

When former Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock walks down the aisle this summer, she will do so in a custom wedding dress that she personally designed!

Desiree’s keeping her wedding date under wraps, but did admit to Us that she’s currently co-designing not one but two dresses with label Maggie Sottero.

A “timeless, yet surprising” silhouette for the vows and a “1920s-inspired” reception frock will mark the day in which she marries Chris Siegfried …

  • Chris Siegfried and Desiree Hartsock Instagram

“I can’t wait for Chris to see me in all the dresses!” the bridal stylist, who moved from her native Colorado to Seattle to be with Siegfried, says of her man.

The Bachelorette beauty, who creates gowns for her clients from her home, didn’t start designing her own masterpiece until much later, she says.

“It feels like it was 10 years ago!” she says of her run on The Bachelorette, which followed Sean Lowe rejecting her in favor of now-wife Catherine Giudici.

Safe to say that worked out for the best for everyone involved.

“It’s funny if people bring up things that happened on the show, because it feels like it was a decade ago because we’re just living our life now.”

“We’ll reminisce about Germany or what we did in Antigua,” Desiree Hartsock says, “but for the most part we’re just focusing on making new memories.”

While many Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants have televised their weddings on ABC, she remains undecided about the scale of her nuptials.

“I think I want it to be more low key than people expect – a small ceremony – and just the essentials,” she predicts. “I’m just excited to be designing my dress!”

As for Nikki Ferrell designing her dress for her wedding to Juan Pablo … we would bet a great deal of money against that scenario coming to fruition.

Sean Lowe on The Bachelor: So Cheesy and Sort of Wrong!

Sean Lowe’s stint on The Bachelor clearly worked out for the best, but it’s also not what he is all about, the newly-married star says in a new video.

Featured in a 12-minute short film for the Christian nonprofit I Am Second, Lowe says he worried that he was going against his faith by dating 25 women at once.

He started as a contestant on Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette; His sister, Shay, applied on his behalf; he himself was resistant to the idea.

“Never in a million years did I think I would do a cheesy reality TV show about love,” the Texan says, noting that it definitely changed for him, and soon.

“After about four or five weeks of getting to spend time with the Bachelorette, I thought, ‘I kind of like being around her,'” he recalls of falling for Emily Maynard.

“‘Wow, I’m actually developing feelings for this girl when there are all these cameras around. This is kinda nuts. I can see myself being her husband.'”

By the sixth week, he says, he knew for sure that he loved her, but alas, Maynard sent him home a week before the finale and later got engaged to Jef Holm.

Devastated, Sean Lowe tracked down her number through a mutual friend and tried to get in touch with her afterward. She never returned his call.

Weeks later, he says, he got the call asking him to be the next Bachelor, an offer he ultimately accepted, though not without some serious soul-searching.

“It’s unnatural to date 25 women at one time, and it felt wrong,” he admits.

  • Sean Lowe: Virgin?
  • Sean Lowe, Women

“A lot of the time, it felt wrong. I wrestled with it quite a bit, thinking, ‘I’m pretty sure God opened this door, but what if he didn’t? What if it’s just an opportunity?”

“What if, [as a result of that opportunity], I’m actually harming my testimony, going on a show and dating multiple people at one time, kissing multiple people?'”

In the end, of course, he found he wanted to kiss only one person for the rest of his life: Catherine Giudici, whom he married on live TV on January 26.

It was the first time in Bachelor history that a Bachelor had married the woman he chose in the finale, and also meant that Lowe and Giudici could … you know.

Lowe explains his choice to forego sex until marriage, noting that he went through a period in his life where he was having sex and feeling terrible about it:

“I would feel extremely guilty afterwards, but after that guilt faded, then I would start talking to some other girl and go down the same path of destruction.”

Eventually, he says, he decided he didn’t want to live like that anymore, so he made a promise to himself to abstain from sex until marriage as a born-again virgin.

Clearly it worked out, as Catherine Giudici was all in with him regarding this.

“It’s been a great thing for me,” he says. “I didn’t give in to my sinful nature.”

Clearly Juan Pablo Galavis doesn’t approach it quite the same way … and you don’t need The Bachelor spoilers to tell you that. Just watch him on the show!

The Bachelor Love Stories: (Some) Dreams Do Come True!

Dreams do come true. At least 10-20 percent of the time.

Fans know that a final rose does not guarantee a lifetime of happiness, but The Bachelor has produced some couples that have stood the test of time. At least lately.

And with Juan Pablo Galavis’ season in full swing, ABC caught us up on some of its recent success stories as part of its “Juan-uary” series of Sunday specials.

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are set to tie the knot next weekend. They were one of the duos featured on The Bachelor: Bachelor Love Stories last night.

12.
Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter

Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter have been together so long, we forget that she was ever not Mrs. Ryan Sutter. They have been married for a decade and have two kids!

  • Trista Rehn married fireman Ryan Sutter in a ceremony that was televised in 2003. Still the gold standard for the show, over a decade later.
  • Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried. The most recent Bachelorette picked Chris at the end of Season 9 last year. They’re still engaged.
  • Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum. After she chose J.P. on The Bachelorette Season 7 finale, Ashley married J.P. in December 2012.
  • Molly and Jason Mesnick. Jason was engaged to Melissa Rycroft, but dumped her for runner-up (and now-wife) Molly on the After the Final Rose special. Close enough.

Will Juan Pablo end up in the success or failure column? The Bachelor spoilers shed some light on that if you’re interested … but the odds are not good.

That’s like five success stories in like 27 seasons. Just saying.

Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez: Back Together?

Former Bachelorette lovebirds Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez recently split up after an 18-month engagement, but may be back together just like that.

They allegedly hooked up at Ashley Hebert’s wedding.

Ali F., Roberto M.

Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum married in Pasadena, Calif. on December 1, with fellow reality stars Ali and Roberto in attendance, among many others.

One witness says the attractive two were “inseparable.”

Indeed, Roberto moved tables just to sit next to Ali.

“They started talking again a month ago,” a pal says.

Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez split in November 2011; the duo first connected on the sixth season of The Bachelorette in 2010, with him winning.

They allegedly left together and hooked up that night, although even if that’s true, it doesn’t necessarily mean a reconciliation is in the future for them.

Says the source, “Chances of them getting back together are slim, but they had a great time that night.” Guess sometimes, one last hurrah is all you need.

High School Valedictorian Denied Diploma For Saying "Hell" in Graduation Speech

Kaitlin Nootbaar, an Oklahoma high school valedictorian, is being denied her diploma … because she said the word HELL in her May graduation speech.

She graduated from Prague High School with a 4.0 GPA, but has been told she will have to submit a written apology in order to receive her diploma.

“We went to the office and asked for the diploma and the principal said, ‘Your diploma is right here but you’re not getting it,'” her dad, David, recalled.

“‘Close the door, we have a problem.'”

In her speech – obviously inspired by a similar address in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse – Kaitlin reflected on being asked constantly what her future plans are.

“How the hell do I know?” she said. “I’ve changed my mind so many times.”

In the version she submitted to the school for approval, “hell” was “heck.” But in the version Nootbaar delivered live at graduation, “hell” it was.

Now it’s what she’s going through, you could say. All because Bella’s graduation scene in Eclipse was so profound. Kristen Stewart just can’t win.

“She worked so hard to stay at the top of her class,” David Nootbaar said of his daughter not receiving her diploma. “This is just not right.”

Should Kaitlin apologize and get her diploma?

Tom Cruise Attorney Goes Off on Tabloid Abandonment Claim

Tom Cruise has finally had it with all the talk, chatter and innuendo.

A day after the actor spent quality time with daughter Suri in New York City, the star – through attorney Bert Fields – went off on Life & Style today for its latest cover story, which alleges Cruise has “abandoned” his child and left her “in tears.”

Kourtney Kardashian on Life & Style

In regard to the assertion, Fields has sent an email that reads:

“That, as anyone knows who saw their photos together yesterday and today, is a disgusting, vicious lie. Until this week, Tom was shooting a film on location, but he spoke to Suri every day.

“He’s with Suri right now; and he was with her the day before Life & Style trumpeted their cruelly false accusation. Tom dearly loves Suri and the last thing he would ever do is abandoned her.”

In a People magazine article, meanwhile, a source says Cruise quickly finalized his divorce and has based all his subsequent decisions on the well-being os his six-year old daughter.

Courtney Robertson to Pen Tell-All Bachelor Book?!

The Bachelor and The Bachelorette spoilers seem to always leak, but the cast members are always on legal lockdown before, during and after the show.

This fact makes it hard to believe recent reports that this year’s Bachelor winner, Courtney Robertson, is planning a tell-all book about the experience.

According to In Touch, Ben Flajnik’s fiancee wants to “address misconceptions” about her name-calling, top-dropping, man-eating, “winning” ways.

Courtney Robertson, Ben Flajnik Photo

No other Bachelor or Bachelorette cast member has ever gone off the script by airing juicy behind-the-scenes details … most likely because of iron-clad NDAs.

Just the same, “Courtney has a lot already written,” according to an unnamed source quoted by Wetpaint. “She started when she got home from filming the show.”

“It was her way of coping with frustrations over how she was portrayed. Writing was her release … We all think she should definitely turn it into a book. It will be SO juicy.”

One way to get around the legal obstacles? “Fictionalizing” it.

“She could do it as a memoir – or as a fictional story loosely based on her life. It’s still in the early stages,” says the source of a possible Courtney novel.

Hey, it worked for New York Times bestseller Lauren Conrad.

In related news … check out these Courtney Robertson bikini photos! You can definitely see what Ben saw in her, if you know what we’re talking about.

Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez: Behind the Split

After meeting fiance Roberto Martinez on The Bachelorette, then experiencing an epic courtship, Ali Fedotowsky said she was ready to marry him, and quickly.

Fast forward a year and a half, and it’s over.

The pair had a nice run by Bachelorette standards (18 months qualifies as a long-term relationship by any measure), but she broke up with Roberto last week.

Now, in People‘s new cover story, Ali explains why.

Ali F., Roberto M.

“I wouldn’t be being truthful if I said this came out of nowhere,” a tearful Fedotowsky said, reflecting on the rocky times she and Roberto endured of late.

“We definitely were having problems. But I always believed we could work it out.”

Despite putting the brakes on their fast-tracked wedding plans last year, and then twice more postponing plans to walk down the aisle with Roberto, Ali says they did make a concerted effort to stay together and to weather the tough times.

In spite of that, their arguments continued, and worsened at that.

“We both realized we were unhappy more than we were happy,” says Ali, in a candid take of a romance born on a show so often phony. “And we both deserved more”
