Larry King To Host Telethon Benefit For Oil Spill Victims

Larry King is set to host a two-hour “two-screen” telethon to raise money for the victims of the Gulf Of Mexico oil spill.

The telethon called Disaster in the Gulf: How You Can Help will air on June 21st @ 8PM EDT and will offer a wide range of guest stars including Lenny Kravitz, Justin Bieber, Chelsea Handler, Ryan Seacrest, Kathy Griffin, Cameron Diaz, Ian Somerhalder, and Jenny McCarthy among others.

Funds raised from the telethon will be given to the United Way, The National Wildlife Federation and The Nature Conservancy, all groups which have set out to help people and animals hurt

Report: Shawn King Overdoses in Suicide Attempt; Depression Stems From Larry's Alleged Affair

Larry King’s wife Shawn Southwick reportedly overdosed on prescription drugs in what investigators are considering a suicide bid. Fortunately, Shawn failed.

It all went down May 28 when Shawn’s dad called 911 from the Kings’ home in Provo, Utah, telling the dispatcher Shawn was breathing but not responsive.

Shawn King left a handwritten note stating she OD’d on purpose and indicated where she wanted to be buried, according to police, who found a lot meds.

[HMG] – In news that will delight anyone over sixty, Shawn King, wife of CNN figurehead Larry King is now recovering well after a suspected overdose last month.

The 50-year old former singer, who is King’s seventh wife, was discovered drugged and unresponsive in bed by her father on May 28. He then called 911.

Officers promptly attended the scene and report finding several bottles of prescription meds such as Ambien, which had been filled less than ten days before but were now empty. They also found a handwritten note suggesting Shawn

Larry King’s Wife Overdosed Last Week

(HMG) – Despite the attempts to patch their broken marriage, things are apparently not all well in the Larry King house, which is a shame with two young boys involved.  Word is Larry’s wife Shawn Southwick King, overdosed on pills last week in Provo, Utah.

RadarOnline has posted the audio of a 911 call made on May 28 by Shawn’s father, Karl Engemann, in which he says that his daughter “may have overmedicated,” and speculates that the pills Southwick took were “something to help with her anxiety and her depression.”

Katy Perry Hating on Lady Gaga’s New Video ‘Blasphemous’

(HMG) – Katy Perry made it clear that she was not fond of some aspects of Lady Gaga’s new “Alejandro” video today. ‘Alejandro’ features Gaga channeling Madonna in “Vogue” and “Like a Prayer,” dressed in a latex nun’s habit, sucking on rosary beads and at the center of a gay orgy dressed in a crucifix-emblazoned robe with a cross over her crotch. GaGa has previously admitted to Larry King that her “Alejandro” music video (posted below) was a celebration of her love and appreciation for the gay community. Lady Gaga Reflects on Michael Jackson, Death, Collaboration That Could Have Been

Lady Gaga made many memorable remarks on Larry King Live this week, touching on subjects as diverse as testing positive for lupus and her own drug use.

But perhaps the most poignant topic of discussion was that she was set to duet with Michael Jackson on his This Is It tour last summer before Jackson died.
