President Obama Does Not R-S-P-E-C-T Aretha Franklin, Misspells Song Name

President Obama established this week, when he misspelled the name of Aretha Franklin’s hit song R-E-S-P-E-C-T, that A-B-C is not as easy as 1-2-3 after all.

At the Women of Soul concert series, which is being hosted at the White House, the P-O-T-U-S spoke of the impact of artists on the fight for equality.

However, when Obama went to quote Aretha Franklin’s famous song “Respect,” during which she spells out the word so memorably, he left out one letter.

Watch the Commander-in-Chief’s bungled speech below …

Well, everywhere else besides Savannah, Ga., anyway.

In that city alone, viewers were treated to an epic, two-minute long masterpiece from attorney Jamie Casino during the first local commercial break:

Justin Bieber Deportation Petition Gathers 100K Signatures, Under White House Review

The petition to deport Justin Bieber back to Canada has garnered over 100,000 signatures, surpassing the threshold for official White House review (seriously).

Actor Drake Bell and tens of thousands of fed-up citizens have signed an online petition to deport Justin Bieber on the government’s We The People site.

Any petition that earns more than 100,000 signatures within 30 days qualifies for an administration review and response … no problems in this case.

The Bieber petition already has more than 102,000 in just six days.

He didn’t mention it in his 2014

Beyonce Brings Blue Ivy to the White House: See the Photos!

It doesn’t happen often, but Beyonce attended a birthday party this week at which she was not the most famous person in the room.

Nope, that distinction instead belonged to a certain First Lady, as Michelle Obama celebrated her 50th birthday with close friends and family members.

Beyonce looked positively stunning at the event, posting photos on her Tumblr page of herself in a gold dress, petting a very lucky Bo… and also of her leading Jay-Z and Blue Ivy into the White House:

Of course, this was merely the second most important birthday party Beyonce and her loved ones attended

Taylor Swift Introduces New Perfume as "Sweet, Sophisticated"

Because one perfume is never enough And, heck, neither is two…

Taylor Swift has introduced her third fragrance to the world, a scent titled “Taylor by Taylor Swift” (it’s unclear where she got the name from) that will go on sale in June.

“Taylor by Taylor Swift is a mix of a lot of things – it’s sweet, it’s sophisticated, it draws you in – it’s really my way of translating classic, yet modern, into a perfume,” the 23-year-old star said in a statement.

Look for notes of fruits such lychee and tangerine to be included with the perfume, along with peonies, hydrangeas and vanilla

President Obama Auto-Tune: Let Me Address It!!

After a speech that saw a surprised President Obama heckled by an anti-war, anti-drone, and anti-Gitmo activist, the Internet was the big winner.

As Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin interrupted and harassed the POTUS during his speech on Thursday, Obama repeatedly told her:

“Let me address it!”

She was eventually removed from the room, and Obama went off-script to acknowledge her concerns and even urged people to “cut her some slack.”

And that was about it, which means we can move on and laugh at the obligatory auto-tuned musical version of events that someone made online.

South Carolina Election Results: Mark Sanford Edges Elizabeth Colbert Busch, Wins House Seat

Mark Sanford won back his old seat in the U.S. House, edging Elizabeth Colbert Busch, the older sister of Stephen Colbert, in a South Carolina special election.

The state’s former two-term Republican governor overcame a series of missteps to earn about 54 percent of the vote in the conservative-leaning district.

Elizabeth Colbert Busch would have been the first Democrat to represent South Carolina’s 1st congressional district in 30 years, but came up just short.

Sanford, 53, famously resigned as chairman of the Republican Governors Association back in 2009 after being caught in
