Lindsay Lohan Scoffs at "Convicted Criminal" Dad’s Legal Maneuver

Lindsay Lohan is laughing off the idea of her father Michael Lohan placing her under conservatorship, saying convicted criminals shouldn’t be pointing fingers.

She would know, right?!?

LiLo is telling close friends that “no judge would buy” what he’s trying to sell regarding her being hooked on drugs and alcohol and unable to manage her own affairs.

According to a close source, she said:

“They would have a hard time believing the claims of someone who was investigated for insider trading, arrested for domestic violence multiple times, arrested for assault, has a drunk driving arrest, and has been in and out of jail and prison for years.”

Burn, MiLo.

Lindsay says her dad’s failed intervention attempt and his move for a conservatorship were triggered by her decision to cut off all contact with him last week.

The 26-year-old claims he’s lying when he says she’s addicted to cocaine and booze, and she confirms she’s filing papers to get an order of protection against him.

In other news, Lindsay is off the hook in her New York hit and run case, after officials reviewed the surveillance tape and did not find enough evidence to charge her.

Chad Johnson Arrested For Domestic Violence, Accused of HEAD-BUTTING Evelyn Lozada

Chad Johnson (formerly Chad Ochocinco) was arrested last night for domestic violence. The alleged victim was his wife, Basketball Wives’ Evelyn Lozada.

The NFL star is accused of head-butting Lozada during an argument.

Police arrived at the scene to find her with lacerations on her forehead; Lozada went to the hospital for treatment. Crazy. So what started the incident?

Chad Johnson (Ochocinco) Mug Shot

According to TMZ, the fight started over condoms in Chad’s car. Seriously.

Evelyn Lozada apparently found a receipt for them (not sure which brand or what size) in the couple’s Maserati and confronted him about it.

An argument broke out and Chad head-butted Evelyn. The football star reportedly told the cops he butted heads with his wife by accident.

Johnson was in custody in Davie, Fla., as of 8:45 p.m. last night and will have to go before a judge before he can be released on bond.

It’s possible he could be there until tomorrow morning. Stay tuned.

Lozada married Chad Ochocinco – who changed his named back to Johnson so his wife wouldn’t have to take the name Ochocinco – on July 4.

For what it’s worth, the couple briefly called off their wedding earlier this year, allegedly amid rumors of his cheating, before reconciling.

Lane Garrison: Cleared in Domestic Violence Probe

Lane Garrison has dodged a legal bullet and won’t be charged for allegedly slapping his ex-girlfriend, Playboy Playmate Ashley Mattingly, according to reports.

Garrison was arrested last weekend after an altercation with Mattingly in the lobby of her apartment complex in Beverly Hills, and he remains in jail.

The former Prison Break star isn’t eligible for bail because he’s still on parole for vehicular manslaughter, which was supposed to end this Saturday.

Right now, it looks like he’ll soon be in the clear on all accounts.

“The District Attorney has decided not to charge Lane because they didn’t have sufficient evidence to prove that he hit Ashley,” said a police source.

Even though the entire incident was caught on surveillance video, Lane gave an exhaustive interview to detectives and denied ever hitting Ashley.

“Lane contends that he never hit Ashley, it’s just not who he is,” said the source, adding that he was simply trying to get his phone away from her.

If you watch the tape closely, Lane’s explanation is plausible, and he was apparently very convincing during long sit-downs with police detectives.

For his future, that’s a very good thing.

Lane Garrison Not Charged in Domestic Violence Case … Yet

Lane Garrison’s lawyer said today that his client will not be charged with felony domestic violence for allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend, Ashley Mattingly.

Yet, anyway.

Harland Braun says he spoke with the D.A. Tuesday and was told prosecutors don’t have sufficient evidence right now to file a case against Garrison.

That could change, however, as the investigation continues. Lane’s case remains under review and charges stemming from his arrest still could be filed.

There’s also the matter of Garrison’s 2007 DUI-manslaughter conviction.

Braun he is getting in touch with the parole board to see if the department will take action against the former Prison Break star for his role in this case.

Even though he hasn’t been charged with domestic violence, Lane is currently under a parole hold in Beverly Hills jail while that matter is addressed.

Lane’s former girlfriend, Ashley Mattingly, claims he attacked her Saturday night and says the surveillance video shows the alleged attack go down.

Braun says the surveillance video is deceiving and it actually does NOT show Lane striking Ashley, but merely trying to grab his phone back from her.

Braun says he believes his client was convincing when he spoke with Beverly Hills police detectives, and that’s why no immediate charges have been filed.

The two definitely got into it in a bad way, but establishing whether a clear assault took place during the melee is a different story. Stay tuned.

Lane Garrison Slapping Ashley Mattingly: Caught on Tape!

A new surveillance video obtained by TMZ shows Lane Garrison slapping Ashley Mattingly across the face after he waited for her outside her apartment.

Lane was arrested for domestic violence Saturday, but denied hitting his ex, saying he put his hands on Ashley’s shoulders, put her in a chair, and left.

Not exactly the case, according to the surveillance video:

The former Prison Break star claimed that he ran into his ex while visiting someone else’s apartment, too … but he appears to be sitting outside waiting for her.

When Ashley drives into the building’s garage, Lane is seen stumbling as he runs after her. They are then seen walking into the building together.

Clearly arguing as they get into an elevator, Ashley seems to be asking Lane to leave, but when he refuses, she gets off … and all hell breaks loose.

In the apartment lobby outside the elevator, Lane is seen grabbing Ashley’s arm with his left hand … and then slapping her face with his right.

After a few more seconds of struggling, Lane bolts. He can then be seen throwing what may be Ashley’s phone into the street, then leaving for good.

Garrison was arrested for felony domestic violence and is being held on $50,000 bail. He is on a parole hold because of his manslaughter conviction.

With just six days left on his parole (he killed a teenager in a DUI five years ago), he could face additional prison time based on this arrest.

It remains to be seen if he will face charges from this in the long run, but his initial defense certainly isn’t helped by what the video shows.

Tyler Hadley Indicted For Killing Parents

Tyler Hadley, the Florida teen who allegedly bludgeoned his parents to death, then partied with their dead bodies upstairs, has been indicted for murder.

He is now charged with first-degree murder, twice over.

The grand jury indictment upgrades what were originally two counts of second-degree murder with a weapon in the deaths of Blake and Mary Jo Hadley.

No motive in the Hadley case has been reported.

Acting on an anonymous tip, on Sunday morning July 17 officers visited the Hadley home, where a “nervous” Tyler told them his parents were out of town.

According to CNN, the grand jury heard testimony from Hadley’s uncle, the lead detective in the case, a medical examiner and a crime scene investigator.

If convicted, Hadley faces a mandatory life sentence. Though he was charged as an adult, his age prevents prosecutors from seeking the death penalty.

Roger Ebert Slams Ryan Dunn on Twitter

Jackass star Ryan Dunn died earlier today and already, film critic Roger Ebert took him to task over reports that he drank before getting behind the wheel.

Dunn’s drinking buddy claims Ryan had at least three beers and three “girly shots” before hitting the road. He was driving when he crashed and passed away.

Ebert, of all people, had this to say this afternoon:

Ebert TweetSources say Ryan Dunn spent four hours in Barnaby’s of America in West Chester, Pa., before he got behind the wheel of his Porsche this morning.

One of his friends says Dunn had three beers and three shots between 10:30 p.m. and 2:10 a.m., but he was “not too drunk to drive.”

However, according to another person who was inside the bar that night, Dunn was “wasted” and “had a lot to drink.”

Either way, what’s your take on Ebert’s Tweet?

Anthony Weiner Heckler Threatned with Paralysis

Because the entire Anthony Weiner ordeal wasn’t wild and weird enough…

During the former Congressman’s resignation press conference last week, Benjy Bronk – an employee of Howard Stern – heckled the disgraced politician, asking questions such as: “Are you more than seven inches? Will you maintain your hot physique and smooth sexy chest?”

Anthony Weiner Resignation (Full Video)

In response, another member of the audience actually threatened Bronk, whispering in his ear, “If you ever do that again, you’ll never walk again.”

The exchange was caught on camera, and Stern is now asking staffers to deliver that video to the NYPD.

Bronk, and his famous boss, make it clear that he was just going for a laugh, not trying to physically harm anyone.

“I didn’t go to make moral judgments, I went to make comedy,” he told E! News. “But I shouldn’t have interrupted him, that was wrong…

“I’m embarrassed for most of it. Although, I didn’t ask the last question about whether he would maintain his physique until he had already ended his speech. My intention was for comedy and attempting to mock it. Like journalism, I think comedy brings out a truth and that’s what I was trying to do and to get people to look at me.”

Whatever the case, you really shouldn’t threaten to paralyze anyone. Not even any members of the Kardashian family.

Gary Coleman Taken Off Life Support, Dead at 42

Former child star and actor Gary Coleman of Diff’rent Strokes fame has died. He was 42. He was taken off life support earlier today and passed away.

The diminutive Coleman passed away at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo after suffering a brain hemorrhage and losing consciousness.

A resident of Santaquin, Utah, Coleman had been hospitalized Wednesday and lost consciousness the next day. He was on life support until this afternoon.

Born with failed kidneys, Coleman had undergone two transplants by age 14 and his growth was permanently stunted by the side effects of dialysis.

He was a precocious, chubby-cheeked Coleman was 10 when Diff’rent Strokes debuted on NBC in 1978. The popular show lasted for eight seasons.

R.I.P. Gary Coleman (1968-2010).

The scene-stealing Gary quickly became a pop-culture icon, whose recurring line “Whatchoo talkin’ ’bout, Willis?” became a national catchphrase.

At the height of his TV series success, Coleman reportedly earned $64,000 per week and is said to have made some $18 million during his heyday.

His acting career as an adult fell far short of his glory days, however, with only occasional guest appearances and small roles in films and TV movies.

Coleman has had encounters with the law in recent years, including just this February, when he accepted a plea deal on domestic violence charges.

That stemmed from an incident with wife Shannon Price, who took him off life support today. Gary’s health problems also escalated in recent years.

Hopefully he is now at peace. Our condolences to Gary Coleman’s family, friends and fans in this difficult time. He will be remembered and missed.
