Miley Cyrus Embroiled In New Twitter Controversy
Miley Cyrus’ tweets have caused another ruckus on twitter. This time, Christians are upset with her. It started with this tweet, where Miley quoted physicist Lawrence Krauss:
“You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements (carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, all the things that matter for evolution) weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in stars. So forget Jesus. Stars died so you can live.”
Some followers weren’t impressed that this teen was quoting a physicist. Instead, they took exception to the tweet (the “forget Jesus” bit was probably the straw that broke the camel’s back) and let Miley know it, with some even telling her to go to h*ll. Goodness! Miley responded with these tweets:
How can people take the love out of science and bring hate into religion so easily? It makes me sad to think the world is this way. Like Einstein says “Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind.”
And Miley has been keeping such a low profile lately! Although she absolutely has the right to say whatever she wants, maybe she should stay off of twitter. It sure will result in less drama in her life, since people take a teenagers’ tweets so seriously.
