Brad Pitt Being Named A Dame Didn’t Help Angelina Jolie’s Status At Home

"Fury" - Closing Night Gala: 58th BFI London Film FestivalHere’s Brad Pitt at the closing night gala screening of ‘Fury’ for the 58th BFI London Film Festival. Isn’t he looking good in his suit? He had a great weekend: ‘Fury’ was #1 at the box office in the United States this past weekend! RELATED: Brad Pitt and Jimmy Fallon breakdance on ‘The Tonight Show.’

At the festival Brad chatted with reporters about meeting Queen Elizabeth when she named Angelina Jolie an Honorary Dame of the British Empire.

It was just a pleasure and certainly one for the books. [It was] a wonderful afternoon for our family, a great honor for Angie and something we won’t forget.”

So has Dame Angelina become The Boss at home?

Aaah, no,” Pitt told Us, laughing. “We have our own pecking order at home!”

Geez: what does somebody have to do to get some respect? LOL I’m just kidding: I’m sure Angelina’s happy with the status quo with the family.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 3 Recap: Fight Night

What was in the water at Grey-Sloan Memorial this week?!?

It’s seemed as if no one was in a good mood on Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 3, with fights breaking out left, right and in the middle. To wit…

Owen guilt-tripped Callie into enlisting Veterans Rehab Hospital patients as subjects in her robotic limb study. Seemed like a nice, generous idea, right?

Yes… until Owen promised results when he shouldn’t have so and ordered Callie to “fix” a wounded warrior whose severely amputated leg made him ineligible for the procedure.

Fortunately, Jackson came up with a solution that permitted Callie to come through for the soldier after all.

There was a major back-and-forth between Callie and Owen in the hallway, but the former eventually forgave Callie the latter when he confessed that he was scared… without something good happening, he feared he might once more become as dark as he was before he met Cristina.

Told “we are not peers” by the stern Dr. Herman, Arizona was falling very far behind in her fellowship. She then got excited at what she mistakenly believed to be Callie’s suggestion that they wait to have kids, which led to a blowout between the couple.

“Say it,” Callie shouted. “You don’t want a baby.”

Meredith interrupted Alex in the shower (giving props to his “spectaculr junk”) and recruited her new Person to help her investigate Maggie.

Meanwhile, Maggie – unaware that Richard is her dad – continued to confide in him. Following his quick removal of a tree branch from an impaled patient, he seemed ready to blurt out the truth.

Later on, Alex pulled a Willow Rosenberg that revealed to Meredith the truth: she and Maggie are, for certain, sisters. Mer brought this fact to Richard, who said he’s only known for a week, though he wishes he had known for the last 30 years.

Richard also revealed this to Maggie, who called him a “coward” in response.

April was caught in the middle of a sibling rivalry, with Derek now staying in Seattle and therefore acting as “king of the hospital” in Amelia’s eyes.

The female Sheperd said she had no plans to give up her turf any time soon, while the male version said Meredith backed him into a corner when it came to the D.C. job by refusing to move with him. He then went off on his wife about how he never would have stuck around if he knew she would just be getting drunk with Alex all the time.

Finally, the board voted to take Miranda instead of Alex.

This hour was not lacking for tension, was it? Go watch Grey’s Anatomy online to relive all the fights and get your first look here at Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 4:

Dennis Rader, BTK Serial Killer, Writing Book to "Pay My Debt" to Victims’ Families

Dennis Rader, a serial killer responsible for 10 grisly murders over three decades, is putting together a book about his crimes … to pay his debt to the families.

The Wichita, Kansas, product says he’s cooperating with an author to recount his story in an effort to make things right. Or at least come as close as he can.

Dennis Rader Mug Shot

Rader, nicknamed BTK (“bind, torture, kill”) recently sent a four-page, handwritten letter to the Wichita Eagle, “From the Desk of Dennis L. Rader.”

“I can never replace their love ones, my deeds too ‘dark’ to understand; the book or movies etc. is the only way to help them,” the 69-year-old writes.

Rader, who’s currently serving 10 life sentences, is working with Katherine Ramsland, a professor of forensic psychology at DeSales University in Pennsylvania.

She insists it won’t sensationalize Rader’s horrific crimes but is “a serious effort that will have some benefit for people who study this kind of crime.”

Ramsland was picked, in fact, by a group of Rader’s victims’ families, who won his media rights in 2005 in a bid to prevent him from profiting from his crimes.

O.J. Simpson, famously, attempted to do just that and lost a judgment that ultimately granted Ronald Goldman’s family the rights to his book If I Did It.

“Their position is that they want [the book] to be done and over with, so they can put the matter behind them,” the group’s attorney, James Thompson, says.

O.J. Simpson

O.J. Simpson was arrested for the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Goldman, leading to the trial of the century in 1994-95.

Rader says the book will offer insight into the workings of serial killers’ brains.

“People like me need to be understood, so the criminal professional field can better understand the criminal mind. That would be my way of helping debt to society.”

Rader’s daughter Kerri made headlines last week for criticizing Stephen King, whose latest movie, The Good Marriage, is loosely based on the BTK case.

It’s King, not Rader, who is “exploiting my father’s 10 victims and their families,” she said of the work, in which a wife has no idea her husband is a serial killer.

Rader, who claims to be a fan of King’s books, insists his wife and family had no idea about his secret life as a murderer until the day he was exposed.

Criminal Minds Season 10 Episode 2 Recap: What a Nightmare

Viewers were introduced to Kate Callahan on Criminal Minds Season 10 Episode 1, a premiere that spent a lot of time on the addition of Jennifer Love Hewitt to the show’s cast.

But Criminal Minds Season 10 Episode 2 honed in on a veteran member of the BAU squad, Garcia was clearly having a tough time dealing with the fact that she shot Greg Bailer… even though he was trying to kill her and Spencer in the hospital and all.

She’s been having recurring nightmares about the incident.

In order to move on, Garcia wanted to actually visit the man and clear her conscious, though Morgan tells her to write him a letter instead.

She responds that she’s tried writing him in prison, but it hasn’t helped. She needs the in-person sit-down. Morgan doesn’t approve in any way, however, saying Bailer is a killer and doesn’t deserve any of her energy.

But, come on. Did you really think this would stop Garcia?

She ends up taking some personal time to try to wrap head around what happened, causing concern for Reid. He asks Morgan about it and he responds by telling him about the guilt Garcia is dealing with over the shooting.

He then gets personal himself and admits that he felt the same way after his first shooting. Until he realized that the victim was not a good person.

Garcia, of course, does end up seeing Greg, who is on death row and who has 10 hours to live. None of his friends or family members have shown up and he doesn’t want to be alone for the lethal injection. Would Garcia attend the event?

She agrees and Greg’s final words are “thank you,” giving Garcia the closure she needs and bringing to an end one seriously emotional episode.

Give Criminal Minds props for going above the norms of a procedural here. We rarely see the after-effects of a shooting play out in such a manner and it helped this episode stand out from most of the dramatic fare on CBS. Well done.

Person of Interest Season 4 Episode 3 Recap: Fun with Fusco!

Things lightened up a bit on Person of Interest Season 4 Episode 3.

No, this series won’t ever be mistaken for The Big Bang Theory, but “Wingman” gave us a look at Reese figuring out how to work the police system… Fusco out on the dating scene… and The Machine learing how to give Finch a lot of money and guns while not sounding Samaritan’s alarms.

This wasn’t an hour grounded in heavy mythology. Instead, it featured various members of the team actually getting some fun stuff to do.

There was Finch having to pretend that he was a legendary, tough-as-nails mercenary, actually uttering the awesome line:” I only have two modes: calm and furious.”

There was Reese being forced to use his Machine-inspired detective skills instead of simply shooting criminals in the kneecap in the middle of a crowd.

And there was Fusco going toe-to-toe with a “social liaison” attempting to give him an image makeover. Read that sentence again and try not to laugh.

In the end, Reese’s captain (portrayed by Monique Gabriela Curnen) was satisfied about the closed case. Finch was content that The Machine provided for him while also sweeping up the criminals in the wake of his mission. And Fusco was happy because… he went on a date!

On top of all these developments, we witnessed Root back in action as well, although only for a short, kneecapping moment.

It’s also worth noting Captain Moreno’s quote about believing all the mobsters with shot legs could have been Reese’s handiwork. Overall, this was a strong hour in which nearly everything and everyone converged on the police precinct following one wild and crazy day.

Was it a different Person of Interest tone than usual? Yes. But change isn’t always a bad thing, is it?

If you missed Season 4 Episode 3, head over to TV Fanatic now and watch Person of Interest online.

Gotham Season 1 Episode 3 Recap: Making His Move

A vigilante went after corrupt citizens of Gotham in a rather unique manner on Gotham Season 1 Episode 3:

He killed them by hooking them up to weather balloons and setting them aloft.

The storyline was very effective for two reasons: first, it was an interesting investigation and a cool Villain of the Week.

While some may tune in to Gotham for its obvious connection to Batman, others (such as the THG staff) would easily grow sick and tired of a series based entirely around winks and nods to future big bads such as The Riddler and Catwoman.

Oswald Cobblepot at Work

Gotham has to stand on its own feet and exist as its own entity in order to truly thrive – and it can be do this by being an NCIS-like procedural, one that just happens to be set in a sort of familiar world.

It’s almost like a bait and switch: lure viewers in with the series title and character names… but keep them interested via strong protagonists and intriguing weekly enemies/cases. That was definitely the case here.

Secondly, The Balloonman helped further illustrate the differences between Gordon and Bullock; the former is an idealist who believed in a black and white world, while the latter lives perpetually in the grey.

He would gladly have let The Balloonman sail away to his death, if Jim hadn’t forced Harvey’s hand and ordered him to shoot that balloon down in the episode’s climactic scene. The suspense here was palpable and even Harvey himself seemed impressed by his brave partner by the end.

Jim Gordon is a man who sticks to his morals, that much is certain.

The other main focus of the hour, of course, was on Oswald Cobblepot.

As played by Robin Lord Taylor, he’s been the breakout character of the series through three episodes… and for good reason. In this case, we watched as Oswald committed another murder (without batting an eye) and then as he aligned himself with David Zayas’ Maroni.

Cobblepot is getting in well with this mobster, intelligently biding his time before he makes any major moves on Fish Mooney or even Carmen Falcone.

And then we concluded the episode with The Penguin Oswald showing up at Jim’s door, likely aware he has major leverage on the detective right now. Bullock, Fish and company believe Jim killed Oswald. How will they react when they find out otherwise?

And how will Oswald blackmail Gordon to make sure they don’t? Very intriguing stuff and another strong outing for this freshman drama.

Sound off on it below and visit TV Fanatic if you need to watch Gotham online.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 1 Recap: Who Wants Pancakes?

Many questions were just begging to be answered on The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 1:

  • Where are Bonnie and Damon?
  • How are Elena, Stefan, Caroline and company coping with their presumed deaths?
  • What is Alaric up to now that he’s back in the land of the living?
  • Will Matt Donovan actually be giving anything interesting to do this fall?
  • And what division of football is Whitmore College in?

Okay, the final one may not have been a pressing issue for most viewers, but we couldn’t help but wonder considering the high school-like atmosphere of that tailgate. Chaperones? Really?!?

Tyler Attacks!

Whoa there! Rage much, Tyler! This character is back in full force on The Vampire Diaries season premiere. Good luck with that, Luke.

As for the answers to the other inquiries, let’s go ahead and tackle them one by one:

BONNIE AND DAMON are… happily eating pancakes together every morning?!? We got a very, very quick glimpse at the pair to close the premiere and they seem to be living a normal life somewhere.

They were reading the newspaper. They were acting almost like a couple. They came across as anything but two people who were sucked away when The Other Side evaporated to close The Vampire Diaries Season 5. Intriguing.

CAROLINE is reacting to their presumed death by maintaining hope. She’s reading every book she can get her hands on to figure out a way to bring her friends back.

JEREMY is drinking a lot, playing video games and hooking up with random girls. What a life! Umm… we mean, he’s clearly having some issues.

MATT has joined some kind of Mystic Falls protection group that is led by someone named Tripp. He seems VERY interested in the supernatural.

STEFAN has gone off to Savannah and is barely speaking to anyone anymore. He’s hooking up with some girl named Ivy, but appears to be using her as a means to an important end: determining a way to get Damon back.

He tells Elena on the phone at one point that he’s given up hope and has said goodbye and she should do the same. But we don’t buy it.

TYLER is dealing with major rage issues, barely able to contain his temper now that he’s human again, with the werewolf curse still inside of him.

ALARIC “hates everything” about being a vampire. He’s having trouble dealing with the blood lust. And he’s lost his “game.” Elena’s new medical professor person tried hitting on him and Alaric totally stumbled.

Ah, yes, ELENA. She’s been taking some witchy drug cooked up for her by Luke all summer because it makes her hallucinate Damon. But it also makes her really thirsty and it’s led to her attacking some humans. She realizes she has to let go.

But she can’t. So she asks Alaric to compel her to forget Damon forever toward the end of the premiere. Think she’ll go through wit it?

Overall, a very solid opening to The Vampire Diaries Season 6. We caught up with every single character and we saw the effect the loss of their friends has had on them. But where are those friends?!?

Go watch The Vampire Diaries online via TV Fanatic and sound off here with your take on “I’ll Remember.”

If Women Catcalled Men: Video Flips Script on Street Harassment

A classic new video entitled “If Women Catcalled Men” does a little role reversal and shows us exactly that, with ladies hollering at male passersby.

The results are hilarious … but make you stop and think about the bizarre, ridiculous and often unsettling treatment women are subjected to:

Buzzfeed’s humorous take on what it would look and sound like if women were the harassers and men were the “victims” is mostly in jest, but not entirely.

The gender-swapped parody is features females belting out absurd lines such as:

  • “Hey baby, I bet you’d let me choose what to do with my own body!”
  • “Bet those arms could put together my IKEA furniture!”
  • “Hey, you want babies?”
  • “Bet you’re a really good listener!”
  • “Mmm. Boy, I bet your bathroom is SO clean.”
  • “How do you fit all that d–k in your jeans?!”

Okay, that last one is a little too realistic. Tone it down, fellas.
