Daniel Franzese, Former Mean Girls Star, Comes Out as Gay

Daniel Franzese has come out as gay.

The actor, best known for his role as Damian in the beloved comedy Mean Girls, made the announcement this week via a moving letter to that fictional high school student.

“You became an iconic character that people looked up to; I wished I’d had you as a role model when I was younger,” Franzese wrote via Indie Wire “I might’ve been easier to be gay growing up. You WERE beautiful in every single way and words couldn’t bring you down.”

Robin Roberts is alive, well… and incredibly grateful.

The Good Morning America anchor, who has overcome breast cancer and a blood/bone marrow disease called myelodysplastic syndrome, is featured in the latest issue of People.

Since coming out as gay last month, Ellen Page has remained relatively silent on the issue of LGBT rights, with her statement saying more than enough for the time being.

The actress, however, couldn’t help but respond to criticism from a pastor over the weekend, taking to Twitter and writing a response that has gone viral.

It’s unknown exactly what the religious figure said about Page, but the former Juno star replied as follows:

Tyler Glenn, the frontman for alternative rock band Neon Trees, has come out as gay.

“I’ve always felt like I’m an open book, and yet obviously I haven’t been completely,” the 30-year-old singer tells Rolling Stone.

On Game of Thrones, Kristian Nairn simply says his character’s name all the time.

But the actor said a lot more in a recent interview with Winter Is Coming, telling the fan site that he’s gay.

Jason Collins Signs Historic NBA Contract, Receives Props on Twitter

Jason Collins made history today.

The center signed a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets and became the first openly gay active athlete in any of the major American professional sports.

The 35-year old revealed in late April 2013 that he is gay, yet he went unsigned through the rest of the offseason and the first half of the actual season.

American Idol Recap: 17 Semifinalists Named!

We’re inching ever closer to live auditions on American Idol.

Last night’s two-hour installment was light on singing and heavy on tension, with Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban sitting across from hopeful after hopeful and breaking their hearts or making their days.

In the end, 17 of the 30 semifinalists were announced, with the final batch set to be revealed tonight.
